Singer Crystal Monee Hall Covers Lauryn Hill on Riveting ‘Water’: Premiere | Billboard

Really excited to share this one. HEADPHONES STRONGLY ENCOURAGED. I met Crystal's manager John a couple years ago at a Jennifer Hudson show. John's got a passion for divas, and told me about Crystal. Crystal had spent years in the Broadway cast of RENT and subsequently toured as the singer of Mickey Hart Band (Grateful Dead). Crystal was looking for her next move and we set out writing/recording a couple EPs worth of tunes. We initially bonded over a shared love of Lauryn Hill, hence this cover.
