Daniel Wilson "Near Me"

New release from @wheresdanielwilson “Near Me” co-written/produced w @elliotjacobson and me. Mixed/mastered @concrete.sound. A special track that took years to see the light of day. I loved this song/daniel’s performance as soon as we made it. I remember staying up late into the early morning until it felt perfect. We subsequently tried flushing it out, but any revision led us back to the barebones original. Three years ago it closed out the season 2 finale of Crackle’s STARTUP (thanks @ketor16). I’ve received frequent fan mail since the tv debut asking for this track. Several people have gotten married to this song. It’s rare to have such a response to an unreleased track...

Anyway, it still gives me the occasional goosebumps and I’m proud to share “Near Me.” Thanks Daniel for the performance. Link in bio, hope you enjoy.

Doctor Delia's "Starry Girl" EP

Out today from Doctor Delia, "Starry Girl" the debut EP. Co-written by Jon Freeman, Coyle Girelli, and myself. Co-produced by Jon, Chris Leon, and me. Performed by an all-star lineup, Simon Kafka, Jim Robertson, and Elliot Jacobson. Mixed/mastered by Chris Leon.

I met Jon a few years back via the fate of the universe in a small open mic session on the lower east side (i think..). Started having him perform at New York Imagination Society shows, and was entranced by his unique spirit.

This EP came together through a lot of hard work. Thanks to all involved and congratulations to Jon.

And the marvelous cover was drawn by Charlene Kaye of Sun Queen Designs.

This EP is meant as a journey, not a single-driven release. So if you have 20 minutes to devote to an interesting nuanced work, check it out.
